Memory Clinic was established by Mangala Joglekar under the Neurology Department of the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune in 2010. She also started the work of Alzheimer’s Support Group in the city during the same year. The work of the Clinic and the Alzheimer’s Support Group complement each other. The activities carried out by the Clinic and the Alzheimer’s Support Group together are designed for those who are fighting serious memory problems and their family members. The activities follow non-pharmacological approach and have added various elements over the years to build an integrated program for them.
While carrying out this work it was realized that our services should also guide individuals to maintain their brain’s health. Thus started the work of Memory Club which provides a stimulating environment and knowledge for continuing the journey with a healthy brain.
