Our support group recognizes vital role caregivers play by providing care to their loved ones. Caregivers manage immense physical, emotional demands often with little support. The award makes the caregivers realize their efforts are seen and valued. It also emphasizes the fact that caregiving is as valuable as medical treatment, encouraging holistic approach to health. The award acknowledges caregiver’s resilience, compassion and dedication. It also motivates others to improve care quality, build network and learn from others.
The Group introduced the “Caregiver Award” in 2019. Even though the award is small our appreciation and acknowledgement for the caregivers is limitless. This year, during our group’s annual get-together held on 4th October, 2025 the “Caregiver Award” was given for the years 2024 and 2025. The awardees respectively were Radhika Kothari and Snehalatatai Talnikar. Radhika is a caregiver to her mother-in-law and Snehalatatai is taking care of her husband. Radhika has transformed from a reluctant caregiver to a dedicated one, taking break from her professional life to look after her mother-in-law. Snehalatatai took care of her parents along with her husband. Though her parents are no longer with her, her caregiving journey is continuing since last 15 years. Both of them are helping other caregivers in their journey. We take this opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of our caregiving community.
